India’s best colleges 2021 — Miranda House, Lady Shri Ram top the list

Miranda House, Delhi

Miranda House, located in the north campus of University of Delhi, has been ranked as the best college in the country, as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). According to media reports, Miranda House has one of the most active placement cells as it places 70-80 percent of its students every year.

Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi

Another prestigious college in Delhi University, LSR, is not only known for its academics, but also for its famous cultural fest known as ‘Tarang’. The college also organises student exchange programmes to help its students get international exposure.

Loyola College, Chennai

Loyola College, situated in Nungambakkam near Chennai, was founded in 1925 by Jesuit priests. It has produced famous alumni like actors Mahesh Babu and Vijay, and former world chess champion Viswanathan Anand.

It is one of the first autonomous colleges in West Bengal. St. Xavier’s is one of the top choices for several marquee companies like Deloitte, PwC, Larsen and Toubro for college placements, as per media reports.

PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore

PSGR was ranked among the top three colleges in Tamil Nadu last year. The college also partnered with the Ministry of Education for study-in-India programme, in which foreign students are invited to apply for the courses to study in India.
